is agile in its work flow, especially in the government sector, where it needs to be

validated, regulated and adopted. The success factors of such an initiative include

the collaboration of leadership, funding, government and citizens. Coordination of

stakeholders like urban local bodies, the state and the central body for data shar­

ing will be a major requirement to create a reliable database for efficient function­

ing through interoperability. But, the adoption of new technology like blockchain

won’t be without any hurdles, especially in the public sector, where it is necessary

to be certified, regulated and accepted. In order to harness the power of the new

blockchain and reach the level of greater implementation, a strategic approach that

includes distribution policy, management, environmental development, talent nur­

turing, educational focus and awareness building is required to drive a mind-set for

change of trust with government authorities and citizens. In conclusion, blockchain

presents a promising opportunity for India, which will completely change the way

government organizations work (PricewaterhouseCoopers, 2018).
